About the role

  • Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable Python applications supporting risk technology platforms
  • Build, deploy, and support applications within Microsoft Azure using interconnected cloud components
  • Enhance and integrate front end components using React JS, HTML5, and CSS3 to support user facing risk tools
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate performance bottlenecks and inefficient code to improve system scalability and reliability
  • Implement secure user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments
  • Develop code to enterprise quality standards, including unit testing and adherence to technical specifications
  • Contribute to risk analytics solutions, with exposure to Value at Risk systems where applicable
  • Support data visualization and reporting capabilities, including integration with Power BI tools when required
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation covering application design, functionality, and deployment
  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders in Agile delivery environments while maintaining the ability to execute independently on assigned initiatives

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional Python development experience in enterprise environments
  • Experience with Azure cloud computing platforms; Databricks experience preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of relational and non relational database systems and distributed computing frameworks
  • Familiarity with front end technologies including React JS, HTML5, and CSS3
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and iterative software delivery models
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi tasking skills across concurrent projects
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non technical stakeholders
  • Self directed work style with demonstrated ability to research, problem solve, and maintain delivery momentum
