About the role
- Perform detailed analytics work in an independent fashion in support of the Compliance Analytics group’s goals and objectives
- Focus on strengthening the BSA/AML data governance program within FCC
- Enrich the data governance metadata for data elements within FCC’s environment
- Strengthen the data controls and monitoring for BSA/AML data elements
- Review Compliance standards and procedures documents to identify data requirements
- Develop data controls for monitoring completeness and accuracy of BSA/AML data
- Identify and investigate BSA/AML data issues using SMBC’s databases
- Create remediation plans for BSA/AML issues
- Document BSA/AML business requirements for compliance data systems
- Review ETL design and code to identify loading and transformation data issues
- Catalogue BSA/AML key data element and controls metadata
- Develop BSA/AML data governance program reporting for Compliance senior management
Requirements
- 4 to 7 years of experience with data analysis or data management and BSA/AML compliance or internal audit
- Ability to transform BSA/AML business problems into technical requirements and analytics work products
- Ability to create and review complex queries to extract data from Oracle (PL/SQL) and Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) databases
- Knowledge of at least one BSA/AML domain: Transaction Monitoring / Financial Intelligence Unit (TM / FIU), Customer Risk-Rating (CRR), Know Your Customer (KYC), Sanctions Screening
- Experience with vendor BSA/AML/OFAC transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, or customer onboarding systems (e.g., Actimize, Fircosoft, Fenergo)
- Experience with data governance tools, specifically Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP) or Collibra Data Quality (CDQ)
- Knowledge of additional BSA/AML domains
- Ability to manipulate data using Microsoft Excel or similar applications (e.g., Google Sheets)
- Experience with reporting or visualization tools, e.g. PowerBI
- Experience with cloud database architecture, e.g., Microsoft Azure
- Bachelor’s degree
- ACAMS certification (preferred qualification)
