About the role

  • Sales of all Sulzer services (repairs and maintenance of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, electric motors) as well as distribution of spare parts and retrofits for our own products as well as for third-party products
  • Acquisition of new customers as well as maintenance and expansion of existing customer contacts in the sales area
  • Technical elaboration and calculation of offers as well as negotiation up to the conclusion of the contract
  • Ensure targeted monitoring, tracking and forecasting of open offers
  • Developing the mid and long term sales plan and supporting the establishment of both annual and monthly sales budgets and objectives
  • Responsibility for execution of the specific objectives of the Sales Plan with regards to opportunity identification through to contract award
  • Attend and carry out client visits, seminars and presentations
  • Liaising with relevant departments of the company and, most specifically with operations team to develop the bidding strategy for each project
  • Establishment of both market and target customer strategies for the Company.
  • Ensure that effective client contact, relationship building and management processes are in place
  • Maintain knowledge of market and industry trends, competitors and leading customer strategies, especially in relation to international business
  • Ensure application of Sulzer sales and commercial policies, procedures, codes of conduct and best practice guidelines
  • Review tenders and support overall tender process
  • Ensure that handover meetings and documentation are effective and result in a smooth transition from pre to post order status
  • Ensuring that Sulzer sales forecast and prospect lists are provided to schedule
  • Observe and analyze market, competition and trends
  • Conducting service presentations and participating in trade fair

Requirements

  • Track record of identifying and delivering on business growth for rotating equipment services business
  • Experience of formulating and implementing business strategy
  • Understanding of CRM tools and forecast/budget management
  • Degree in management, engineering, science or business discipline
  • Experience of working with DC & AC, LV & HV: motors, generators and the associated site services.
  • Experience of similar positions in Middle East
  • Commercial awareness
