About the role
- Responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components
- Apply engineering knowledge to support planning, testing, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Perform on-site field service preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on electromechanical equipment
- Provide reports for jobs performed to the customer in a timely manner
- Assist with shop projects which are electromechanical in nature
- Involved in day-to-day operations
- Certain aspects of project management may be assigned based on proficiency
Requirements
- 0 – 4 years’ experience in electrical engineering
- Electric motor, generators repairs and design
- Transformer repair and design
- Switch gear design and diagnostics
- Power Semiconductors
- Proficient in basic power theory
- Knowhow in the following topics: Operations of induction motors, Operations of synchronous motors, Transformer principle, Operation of semiconductors, Winding Insulation Tests
