About the role
- Responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and components
- Apply engineering knowledge to support the planning, testing, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems
- Coordinate between the machine shop, quotation department, and the customer
- Involved on the discovery side of inspections to assist in developing an accurate workscope
- Perform or confirm precise measurements using micrometers and calipers
- Document design changes and create drawings to be shared with customers
Requirements
- Preferred 3 years’ experience in rotating equipment repairs
- Acceptable experience includes rotating equipment manufacturing, rotating equipment package design and assembly, vibration analysis, field service-overhauls
- Proficient with CAD software: AutoDesk or Solidworks
- Knowhow of rolling element bearings, sleeve babbitt bearings, oil seals and their functionality
- Familiarity with vibration spectrums and how to interpret them
- Proficient in the usage of micrometers
- Preferred familiarity with seal and bearing clearances to shafts
- Individual must be self-motivated and prepared for on-the-job training
- Must take responsibility of assigned tasks and finish in a timely manner
