Analyze cost trends and gross margin performance, identify and resolve anomalies, and develop reports that clearly communicate significant variances and insights to stakeholders.
Evaluate the costs of existing and proposed products to identify trends and drivers and recommend actions to improve product profitability.
Assess inventory levels, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Assist with the annual physical inventory & cycle count programs.
Maintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports.
Support budgets and financial forecasts.
Perform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries.
Provide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues.
Analyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements.
Develop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries.
Support general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions.
Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

Requirements

A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP
Cost accounting experience
Preferred: Power BI and/or Power Automate Experience
Preferred: Manufacturing Experience
Preferred: CPA or CMA
Preferred: A master’s degree in accounting or finance
