About the role

  • Analyze cost trends and gross margin performance, identify and resolve anomalies, and develop reports that clearly communicate significant variances and insights to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the costs of existing and proposed products to identify trends and drivers and recommend actions to improve product profitability.
  • Assess inventory levels, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Assist with the annual physical inventory & cycle count programs.
  • Maintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports.
  • Support budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries.
  • Provide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues.
  • Analyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements.
  • Develop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries.
  • Support general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Attend in-person or virtual meetings as requested or required.
  • Communicate effectively and respectfully with others.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience
  • Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP
  • Cost accounting experience
  • Preferred: Power BI and/or Power Automate Experience
  • Preferred: Manufacturing Experience
  • Preferred: CPA or CMA
  • Preferred: A master’s degree in accounting or finance
