About the role

  • Support the Event Manager in end-to-end event execution, gaining hands-on experience across all phases of the event lifecycle, including planning, production, and on-site management.
  • Assist in developing event timelines, defining event aesthetics and overall look and feel, and managing budget tracking to ensure events are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Internal S&C stakeholders, external vendors, and customers, serving as a reliable point of contact and ensuring clear, professional communication throughout the event process.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and genuine passion for event management, taking initiative to learn industry tools, processes, and standards that drive successful, memorable experiences.
  • Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules.

Requirements

  • Must be in good standing as a student at the bachelor’s degree level at an accredited university majoring in Communications, Marketing, or a related major and returning to school after the work session.
  • Ability to commute and work onsite at S&C in Rogers Park, Chicago, IL
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid work setting.
  • Ability to work full-time beginning Summer 2026 for a minimum of 10 weeks.
  • Organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with guidance.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and ability to represent S&C professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Attention to detail and ability to complete activities with accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of building event timelines, event websites, and event budgets.
