Key responsibilities & impact

Establish, implement and lead the Legal Advisory area, defining processes, workflows, policies and standards of operation
Act as a strategic business partner, supporting internal teams in decision-making with a preventive view of legal and regulatory risks
Ensure regulatory and normative compliance governance, with a focus on SUSEP rules, legislation applicable to the insurance market, LGPD (Brazilian General Data Protection Law) and anti-corruption laws
Monitor regulatory changes, assess impacts on the company and coordinate remediation/adaptation plans
Draft, review, negotiate and standardize contracts with suppliers, service providers and commercial partners
Create and maintain a library of contract templates with clauses aligned to best practices in governance, information security and data protection
Support the formalization of new partnerships, products and business models, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
Work collaboratively with Compliance, Risk, Audit, Finance, Commercial, Operations and Technology teams
Coordinate external law firms, ensuring efficiency, technical quality and cost control
Contribute to promoting a culture of compliance and governance through guidance, training and internal communication
Report critical issues and legal metrics to executive leadership, providing a clear view of risks, impacts and recommendations

What you’ll need

Solid experience in Legal Advisory, preferably in insurers, reinsurers, financial institutions, fintechs or other regulated companies
Hands-on experience with regulatory compliance, especially in environments interacting with regulatory authorities
Strong practice in contract law, including negotiation and structuring of complex agreements
Experience structuring or maturing legal departments, processes or governance frameworks
Regular interaction with business areas, senior leadership and external stakeholders
Regulatory law applied to the insurance market (knowledge of SUSEP is a significant advantage)
Experience with compliance, integrity and anti-corruption programs
Application of LGPD to contracts, suppliers and operations
Business and corporate law
Assessment and mitigation of legal risks
