About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Delivering theoretical and practical driver training to Service personnel, ensuring they can safely operate our fleet, including specialist vehicles and trailers, in both routine and emergency response conditions.
- Delivering structured driver training and preparing candidates for assessment
- Assessing driver competence against Nationally approved standards
- Providing clear, constructive feedback to support development and performance
- Producing reports and maintaining accurate training records
- Contributing to ongoing training plans and continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience delivering driver training to National standards
- Experience assessing drivers against recognised competencies
- A full UK LGV (Category C) licence held for a minimum of 3 years, with no endorsements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to give clear, constructive, and confident feedback
- A team-oriented approach with a focus on safety, consistency, and professionalism
