About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the council responds to statutory information requests received from the public and information sharing requests received from other organisations.
- Work closely with the council’s various departments and external stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the Information Governance Service.
- Collate significant amounts of information and efficiently apply any required exemptions with reference to applicable legislation.
- Work increasingly autonomously, taking professional responsibility for dealing with the full process of requests, engagement with the requester, collating information and the consideration of any applicable exemptions, to the secure provision of information.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must display excellent organisational, time-management and communication skills and an awareness of the UK’s FOI and EIR legislation and how this impacts the council.
- Candidates will require a DBS check to be completed
