About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for the direct line management of several team managers in the service
  • Ensure that team managers and their teams are confident in delivering outstanding Residential and Resource Services across the county
  • Conduct well-informed risk assessments based on the assessed needs of the children and young people
  • Create a culture of positivity that inspires others to deliver high quality care
  • Ensure effective operational delivery within the budget of the service area

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experienced manager with previous residential management experience
  • Business knowledge and Children’s Social Care expertise
  • In-depth knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and risk management issues within children’s services
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities
