About the role

  • Perform engineering duties in planning and designing of water and wastewater treatment, conveyance, and storage systems
  • Development of contract documents including plans and specifications
  • Perform hydraulic flow and pressure calculations
  • Develop system curves for sizing and selection of pumps
  • Water and Wastewater treatment process systems and equipment engineering and design support
  • Support the development of construction cost estimates
  • Interest and willingness to learn project management, client interface and business development of future projects
  • Perform site visits during design to understand and document existing conditions, and inspect installation during construction
  • Review contractor shop drawings and submittals for compliance with project design documents

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited University or NCEES equivalent
  • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering is a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in water and wastewater systems
  • EIT Certification, required
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to seek technical input from water team members work collaboratively to advance projects
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ArcGIS is a plus
  • Participation in professional organizations, as well as committee involvement is a plus
