About the role

  • Perform production of plans, specifications, quantity estimates and various studies and reports for road projects
  • Support interdisciplinary projects, document preparation and production
  • Assist with the design of roadway alignments and details, grading, drainage, traffic and other roadway infrastructure
  • Interact with client management teams, engineers, and marketing teams
  • Design using Bentley Open Roads Designer

Requirements

  • BS/MS degree in Civil Engineering / EIT Certification is required
  • 2 or more years of experience in transportation, highway and roadway design, or closely related engineering field
  • Proficient in Bentley MicroStation & Bentley Open Roads Designer
  • Familiarity with TDOT Roadway Standards, Criteria, and Specifications
  • Ability to support management and provide technical expertise in the following areas:
  • - Roadway/highway design
  • - Vertical and horizontal alignments
  • - Pavement section design
  • - Drainage system design
