About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coordinate process control objectives and activities to resolve production problems and minimize cost
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency
- Study operations sequence, material flow, cell layouts, and project information to identify and eliminate waste
- Develop manufacturing methods and labor utilization standards to eliminate time and material waste
- Develop and conduct training
- Develop and document standard work
- Perform physical changes to production layouts
- Design and conduct physical plant changes, jigs, and fixtures
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree in engineering and 4 years experience in related manufacturing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 4 years experience in related manufacturing processes
- Experience in production, optimization and training of manufacturing processes such as assembly, piping, and wiring
- Knowledge of technology and materials used in the above processes
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma Methodologies
- Knowledge of SAP manufacturing software
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or other drafting software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Self-motivated
- Ability to keep a positive attitude when under pressure.
