About the role

  • Work on backend services that directly support the Marketplace
  • Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  • Develop backend logic that enables reliable and scalable product behaviour
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers on clear and stable API contracts
  • Write clean, well-tested code and take responsibility for its quality
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions within the team
  • Improve performance, reliability, and the overall developer experience

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  • Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases
  • Comfortable designing backend services and REST APIs
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
  • Regularly write unit tests to validate code
  • Fluency in English
