About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor technology trends across solar modules, cells, wafers, inverters, storage systems, and emerging innovations.
- Translate technical developments into market-relevant insights, highlighting implications for cost, performance, adoption, and risk.
- Distinguish real technology progress from marketing claims, identifying technical limitations and failure modes.
- Conduct structured research on technology performance, reliability, and innovation roadmaps across the value chain.
- Support the development of benchmarks and comparative assessments of products, suppliers, and emerging solutions.
- Maintain structured datasets and technology reference materials to support ongoing analysis and reporting.
- Draft high-quality technology-focused reports, briefing, and thought leadership content for internal and external audiences.
- Provide technical and analytical support to client advisory engagements and renewable energy project discussions.
- Conduct technology analysis, draft and publish reports related to the renewables sector.
- Conduct detailed industry and market studies, including benchmarking and comparative analysis.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or related field.
- Certifications in Financial Analysis or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in a similar role
- Strong understanding of solar PV and/or battery storage technologies, performance metrics, degradation and failure modes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficient in English, advanced level equivalent to C1 Level (operational proficiency), with strong writing capability.
- Strong computer skills, and competent use of MS Windows.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Solid command of business analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI) for performance tracking.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
