About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor technology trends across solar modules, cells, wafers, inverters, storage systems, and emerging innovations.
  • Translate technical developments into market-relevant insights, highlighting implications for cost, performance, adoption, and risk.
  • Distinguish real technology progress from marketing claims, identifying technical limitations and failure modes.
  • Conduct structured research on technology performance, reliability, and innovation roadmaps across the value chain.
  • Support the development of benchmarks and comparative assessments of products, suppliers, and emerging solutions.
  • Maintain structured datasets and technology reference materials to support ongoing analysis and reporting.
  • Draft high-quality technology-focused reports, briefing, and thought leadership content for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide technical and analytical support to client advisory engagements and renewable energy project discussions.
  • Conduct technology analysis, draft and publish reports related to the renewables sector.
  • Conduct detailed industry and market studies, including benchmarking and comparative analysis.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics or related field.
  • Certifications in Financial Analysis or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of solar PV and/or battery storage technologies, performance metrics, degradation and failure modes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex technical topics clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient in English, advanced level equivalent to C1 Level (operational proficiency), with strong writing capability.
  • Strong computer skills, and competent use of MS Windows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Solid command of business analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI) for performance tracking.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders at all levels.
