About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a comprehensive review of the firm’s existing technology stack.
Map and analyze workflows across the M&A transaction process, identifying opportunities for automation and optimization.
Design and deploy AI-powered solutions to streamline data collection, financial analysis, due diligence, market research, document automation, and client communications.
Collaborate with leadership, deal teams, and IT to design pilots, proofs of concept, and enterprise-scale rollouts.
Establish metrics to measure technology adoption, AI impact, and ROI across deal execution.
Define and enforce data governance, privacy, and security protocols, including compliance with GDPR, POPIA, and other relevant regulations.
Safeguard sensitive client data by ensuring best-in-class cybersecurity practices and responsible AI use.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Business, or a related field.
Experience applying AI, machine learning, or technology-driven process improvements in a business context (ideally within financial services, M&A, or professional services).
Strong understanding of mid-market M&A transaction processes and common technology stacks.
Hands-on exposure to AI and automation tools such as natural language processing (NLP), robotic process automation (RPA), machine learning platforms, and data analytics software.
Proven track record of assessing business needs, implementing technology solutions, and delivering measurable improvements.
