About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform on-site physical installation, functional testing, and quality inspection of surgical light suspensions, surgical booms, video integration systems, and ancillary equipment
- Confirm site readiness and pre-installation infrastructure requirements
- Complete detailed product inventories of installable equipment
- Communicate issues to internal project teams and follow up on resolutions
- Install associated cabling and video signals according to design specifications and quality and safety standards
- Program, test, and inspect video integration sources
- Perform and document functional and quality checks before project sign-off
- Maintain accurate records of equipment installations and related activities
- Complete daily update reports and administrative responsibilities
- Provide project updates to relevant stakeholders
- Coordinate with Quality to ensure regulatory and operational compliance
- Receive training in standardized installation and integration practices across locations
- Coordinate and book personal travel arrangements according to company guidance
- Manage daily schedules to ensure timely completion of installation activities
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and provide basic operational training to customers
- Manage assigned tools and equipment inventory
- Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and service requests
- Communicate project status and progress updates to customers
- Build relationships with business partners to deliver an outstanding customer service experience
- Share lessons learned and feedback with cross-functional partners
- Follow customer-facility and Stryker safety policies and standards
- Complete training and use appropriate personal protective equipment
- Advocate safe work practices
- Maintain current product, quality, and process standards through Stryker’s Learning Management System
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) preferred but not required
- 0–2 years related technical experience or comparable skill set
- Related experience in telecom, video/audio system installation, electrical/construction, medical device, or hospital biomed
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Intermediate PC and application skills
- Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment
- Ability to interpret complex wire diagrams and CAD drawings
- Ability to understand infrastructure, electrical, and network requirements
- Ability to learn basic Internet Protocol (IP) and computer networking requirements
- Ability to work with ladders, chain hoists, material lifts, and pallet jacks
- Ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and work above ceilings
- Must have near visual acuity (corrected), color vision, mobility, bending, standing, stooping, and finger dexterity
- Must communicate effectively via cell phone, text, and email
- Must be able to travel via commercial airline
- Must maintain a state-issued driver’s license and safely operate a motor vehicle
- Ability to lift or exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
