About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist Sales Representatives in the sales, promotion, and marketing of Stryker Sports Medicine products
- Educate doctors, nurses, and appropriate staff on product use, maintenance, functionality, updates, portfolio changes, and educational programs
- Tailor Stryker’s promotional message based on customer knowledge
- Advise on appropriate product selection and answer customer questions
- Distinguish Stryker products from competitors’ products
- Represent Stryker products and contribute to patient care
- Communicate with customers and large groups by phone and in person
- Routinely negotiate transaction prices and terms with customers
- Resolve customer complaints and questions
- Maintain command of product functionality, features, and differentiators and disseminate this knowledge to customers
- Analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns accordingly
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0–2 years in an outside sales position; medical-related fields preferable
- B.A. or B.S. degree required
- Complete field sales training
- Successfully complete Stryker’s in-house product training program
- Confident communication and ability to influence sales conversations
- Proactive relationship-building with internal and external contacts
- Ability to close sales and exceed quarterly sales quotas
- Product knowledge and ability to provide product guidance
- Persistent, results-driven approach
- Able to exert up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects
- Able to communicate with large groups and telephonically
- Able to use common office equipment, including fax, modem, calculator, and PC
- Up to 20% overnight travel annually
- Must be able to drive an automobile
- Able to negotiate customer transaction prices and terms
- Able to solve customer complaints and questions
- Able to analyze territory market potential and prioritize call patterns
