About the role
- Lead sourcing strategy for the Instruments (GQO) business unit
- Analyze supplier performance and drive supply base optimization
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and contribute to cost control and strategic planning
- Negotiate contracts and support contract review and development
- Perform deep-dive sourcing analyses, including cost breakdowns and make-versus-buy evaluations
- Collaborate with commodity and cross-functional teams to craft and execute strategic sourcing plans
- Build partnerships with key suppliers and identify supply chain risks and mitigation strategies
- Track market conditions and emerging technologies impacting sourcing decisions
- Support new product development sourcing activities and supplier development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply management, business, finance, engineering or related field
- 4 years in supply management or related field with focus on strategic sourcing, procurement, and supplier development
- Proficiency in Excel
- Proficiency in Power BI
- Medical device experience or experience in another regulated industry (preferred)
- Experience with negotiation and contract review and development (preferred)
- Project management experience (preferred)
- Based in or near Kalamazoo, Michigan and able to work hybrid onsite/remote
