About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management
  • Contribute across the full product lifecycle—from concept, design, and development through verification, validation, and launch
  • Design, develop, modify, and verify medical device software components
  • Translate user, clinical, market, and Voice of Customer inputs into design requirements
  • Conduct advanced prototyping, testing, research, and problem solving
  • Participate in code reviews
  • Generate, review, and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation
  • Follow and mentor others on R&D procedures, design controls, risk management, regulatory standards, and Quality Management System requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 4+ years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on experience developing Windows-based applications using C#, C++, and .NET
  • Deep proficiency in WPF and Windows Services
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs (REST, SOAP, WCF, gRPC)
  • Strong knowledge of Ethernet and IP networking, including AV‑over‑IP protocols (TCP/UDP, multicast, QoS, VLANs, NDI, SDVoE)
  • Knowledge of FPGAs
  • Familiarity with US FDA and ISO standards like IEC 62304, IEC 60601, 21CRF 820 is a plus
