About the role

  • Responsible for leading the project management office across the global Compliance department
  • Ensure the department effectively enables Stryker’s business results and manages risk
  • Partner with the global Compliance leadership team to drive strategic work in support of short- and long-term priorities, vision, and strategy
  • Utilize an effective project management framework to accelerate implementation of the strategy and goals
  • Work across the department to set the annual projects and cadence
  • Directly manage and support the Compliance Project Manager(s) and the project management budget
  • Lead the project management office to ensure the Compliance department effectively enables Stryker’s business results and manages risk
  • Influence and partner with senior leaders within and outside the Compliance organization to lead projects of strategic importance
  • Translate the vision, mission, and strategy into projects and initiatives with milestones and delivery schedules
  • Develop strategies and clear action plans with results-oriented goals for measuring success; drive alignment and buy-in across the organization
  • Serve as program manager for critical projects, driving both strategy and execution
  • Design and deploy project management best practices and influence the use of these standards
  • Consistently analyze processes and provide recommendations and insight to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 10+ years of work experience
  • 7+ years of project management experience
  • 3+ years of direct people leadership experience
  • Experience working in the medical device, pharma, Biotech, or healthcare industries
  • Demonstrates experience with project management tools
  • Demonstrates high level of critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships
  • Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and a sense of urgency to drive great results.
  • Possesses excellent presentation skills; can present complex information in a clear, concise manner to cross-functional stakeholders
  • Demonstrates high level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and leadership skills.
  • Possesses exceptional project management skills and the ability to organize and lead multiple, concurrent initiatives simultaneously and meet project needs until successful completion.
  • Demonstrates expertise in applying external requirements to key activities and processes.
  • Demonstrates experience developing and leading large-scale, global initiatives through an entire project lifecycle.
  • Possesses excellent leadership and influencing skills.
  • Able to initiate, embrace and support change in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Oversees complex diverse work of significant impact to the organization.
  • Possesses well-developed understanding of business financials and reporting and ability to effectively allocate resources for maximum impact.
