About the role
- Serve as the in-theatre expert for Mako-assisted procedures
- Provide technical and clinical guidance to surgeons and theatre staff
- Collaborate with surgical teams for optimal use of Mako robotic platform
- Conduct pre-operative CT-based planning and segmentation
- Maintain knowledge in orthopaedic surgical techniques and robotic technology
- Provide ongoing training and support to hospital staff and surgical teams
- Travel across Sydney and surrounding areas to support multiple hospital sites
Requirements
- Strong clinical background
- Passion for surgical innovation
- Experience in fields such as Orthopaedic clinical support, Biomedical science/engineering, Medical device experience, or Operating theatre nursing/registered nursing
- Physiotherapy or allied health with surgical exposure
- Human movement or anatomy specialists with clinical experience
- Confidence in surgical/theatre settings
- Technical savvy with software and medical technology
- Ability to build trust with surgeons and hospital teams
- Adaptable and detail-oriented
