About the role
- Independently prepare and conduct purchasing negotiations with national and international suppliers
- Independently manage and control an assigned supplier portfolio
- Support the development and implementation of projects and strategies, including cost reductions, product integrations and quality improvements
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers
- Close divisional collaboration with colleagues in Europe & the USA
- Develop sustainable strategies to ensure product availability
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills and strategic thinking
- High level of commitment, assertiveness and initiative
- Very good English skills and fluent German language skills, both written and spoken
- Several years of professional experience in purchasing, supply chain or a similar field — ideally in a regulated business environment (preferred)
- Hybrid work model with remote/home-office option
- Weekly on-site presence at the Freiburg location
