About the role
- Own and scale Swarmia’s core financial and operational processes.
- Build and develop Swarmia’s financial model, budgets, forecasts, and planning processes.
- Partner with function leaders on scenario modeling, cashflow management, and commercial strategy.
- Build and maintain reporting for board, investors, and internal business reviews (weekly/monthly/quarterly).
- Collaborate with RevOps and BI to improve forecasting and financial visibility across teams.
- Support funding rounds and strategic finance initiatives with relevant materials and analysis.
- Lead monthly closing, reporting, and audit processes across our entities in Finland and US.
- Manage external accounting partners in Finland and US.
- Drive improvements in group-level financial reporting and consolidation.
- Oversee customer invoicing, billing workflows, and accounts receivable.
- Manage payments, reimbursements, cash tracking, and accounts payable.
- Maintain and develop key financial metrics and internal reporting dashboards.
- Evaluate, implement, and integrate financial and operational tools to improve visibility and scalability.
- Manage software licenses and vendor renewals across business functions with operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience (4-6 years) as a Finance Manager, a Finance Business Partner, Financial Analyst, or similar FP&A role in fast-growing B2B SaaS business model
- Solid understanding of cash flow statements, balance sheet mechanics, and financial drivers. Experience in business case preparation, forecasting, and scenario modelling.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into insights that drive business action;
- High proficiency in Excel/Sheets and experience with FP&A tools and BI platforms.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to engage confidently with technical and product stakeholders. Experience with major deal evaluation or customer economics.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when simplifying complex financial topics for non-financial audiences.
- A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Experience in data analytics, proficiency in SQL and Looker is a big plus
