About the role
- Responsible for the day-to-day procurement of material.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
- Monitor and control costs associated with procurement, striving for cost-effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
- Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and manage order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Collect, validate, and analyze procurement and spend data for assigned categories.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to track cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support category strategy development.
- Assist in developing and executing sourcing activities, including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations.
- Support negotiations by financial models, risk assessments, and scenario analyses.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues to category managers as needed.
- Track contract milestones, renewals, and compliance requirements.
- Assist with onboarding of new suppliers and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, etc.) to gather requirements and align sourcing initiatives with business needs.
- Communicate analytical findings and sourcing recommendations to stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers and internal customers within designated categories.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, policies, and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, or related analytical role.
- Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing events, or supplier management preferred.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Sheet & Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, charts); knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
