About the role

  • Responsible for the day-to-day procurement of material.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess stock.
  • Monitor and control costs associated with procurement, striving for cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiate pricing with suppliers.
  • Generate purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Track and manage order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze procurement and spend data for assigned categories.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards to track cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to support category strategy development.
  • Assist in developing and executing sourcing activities, including RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations.
  • Support negotiations by financial models, risk assessments, and scenario analyses.
  • Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues to category managers as needed.
  • Track contract milestones, renewals, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding of new suppliers and ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, Operations, etc.) to gather requirements and align sourcing initiatives with business needs.
  • Communicate analytical findings and sourcing recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for suppliers and internal customers within designated categories.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, policies, and tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, finance, or related analytical role.
  • Familiarity with procurement processes, sourcing events, or supplier management preferred.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Google Sheet & Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, charts); knowledge of data visualization tools is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
