About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide direct, engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students daily
Provide targeted, personalized feedback using a variety of techniques
Differentiate instruction based on student mastery
Review student progress and grade submitted assignments in the learning management system
Create a welcoming class environment
Analyze student data and take actions to improve student achievement
Follow state- and client-specific policies, procedures, and deadlines
Support in-class facilitators with classroom management, curriculum, instruction, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting
Attend monthly data analysis meetings and use student data to guide instructional decisions
Complete required teacher induction and annual training
Create or augment course content using asynchronous and synchronous tools
Establish positive rapport with families and communicate proactively with stakeholders
Obtain additional state certifications as requested and maintain active certifications
Work on additional projects as needed
Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
Active state teaching license
Must clear required background check
Ability to complete training within two weeks
Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week
Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office
Receptive to regular coaching from administrators and teacher trainers
Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
Preferred residency in Georgia
Must have GA certification
Experience with the proposed age group (desired)
Experience supporting adults and children in technology use (desired)
Experience teaching synchronously in Zoom or Newrow (desired)
Experience with online learning platforms (desired)
