About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for escalated operation and compliance concerns of the company’s group health and welfare and retirement programs
- Develop and manage various benefit programs
- Vendor management
- Process improvement and enrollment and cost analysis
- Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, Finance and HR Business Partner teams
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Oversee 401(k) non-discrimination testing, 5500 audits and filings, ACA filings
- Manage vendor relationships and assist with vendor selection and implementation projects
- Administer K12’s retirement plan and state retirement plans
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-4 years related professional experience
- Knowledge of benefit regulations, including health care reform (ACA), HIPAA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to organize and lead a project to completion
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Experience with benefit module(s) of HRIS applications such as Ultimate Software, Workday, Oracle, etc.
- Ability to travel 5% of the time
