Key responsibilities & impact

Apply user-centered design methodology to create solutions for education-related applications
Lead a team of UX Designers and supervise designers
Conduct user research and translate user goals into interactive user experiences
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners and developers
Provide recommendations based on usability testing results
Ensure design solutions adhere to governance and compliance requirements, including student data privacy
Participate in planning sessions and maintain product roadmaps
Conduct performance reviews and support career development

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in user experience design, human-computer interaction, product design, or related field
Five (5) years of experience in planning and executing successful web applications
Solid understanding of user-centered design principles
Experience solving complex design problems for Web interactions or software solutions
Solid understanding of innovative graphical user interface design, information design, and interactive design
Ability to craft visual representations of large systems, complex relationships, data and task flows
Experience with Agile/Scrum and responsive design or mobile applications
Excellent written, oral and diagrammatic communication skills
Adept with relevant design and information flow software, such as Sketch or Axure
Experience designing for accessibility (WCAG 2.0) (desired)
HTML and CSS coding experience (desired)
Experience working with geographically-dispersed teams (desired)
