About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leading and developing a growing team of accountants
Managing a portfolio of limited company, partnership and sole trader clients
Reviewing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and personal tax returns
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, providing proactive advice throughout the year
Managing workflow, deadlines and team capacity
Supporting, mentoring and developing junior team members
Reviewing work and ensuring high technical standards are maintained
Building long-term relationships with clients and identifying opportunities to add value
Working closely with the Directors on practice development and continuous improvement
Supporting the continued growth and success of the Bristol office

Requirements

What you’ll need

ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent Chartered qualification)
Minimum 7 years' recent experience working within UK accountancy practice
Previous management experience leading or supervising an accounts team
Strong knowledge of UK accounts preparation and taxation
Strong knowledge of FRS 102 + 105
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive approach with a genuine desire to help clients succeed
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Desirable Experience using TaxCalc
Experience using Xero and cloud accounting technologies
