About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Conduct translation, proofreading, editing of in-game contents from English to Japanese.
Implement the translated text into game & perform LQA including bug reports, language errors report and making improvement suggestions.
Marketing contents translation and localization (e.g. commercial videos, social media contents, etc.).
Other document translation that related with internal projects.
Interpreting (EN JA) weekly online meetings with Japanese clients.

Requirements

What you’ll need

JLPT N1 or Native Japanese level required.
Business or above level in English (TOEIC 800+ preferred).
3+ years of working experience as English Japanese translator and/ or proof-reader in any industry.
Work experience in game development or operation, especially LQA preferred.
2 + years work experience as ENJA translator/interpreter in video game or entertainment.
In-depth knowledge in LQA related software and tools.
UI/UX localization knowledge.
Work experience with CAT tools (Trados, Memo Q, Memsource, etc.).
Work experience in Japan or Japanese companies.
Fluency in other languages in writing and reading.
