About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or similar platforms
  • Implement pipeline-as-code, reusable deployment templates, and standardized build patterns
  • Automate build validation, unit and smoke testing, artifact versioning, and quality gates
  • Troubleshoot build failures, pipeline performance issues, and flaky automation
  • Optimize pipeline speed, reliability, and cost
  • Manage build systems, dependencies, artifact repositories, versioning, promotion workflows, and retention policies
  • Maintain Docker container image build processes, base images, and image scanning
  • Automate deployments across development, test, staging, UAT, and production environments
  • Implement feature flags, canary releases, blue/green deployments, rollback procedures, and automated release gates
  • Support multi-service, multi-environment, and multi-tenant SaaS releases
  • Improve visibility into release status, build versions, and deployment dependencies
  • Integrate DevSecOps tooling, software supply chain controls, artifact signing, access governance, and approval workflows
  • Ensure auditable and traceable builds and releases aligned with SOC 2, HIPAA, NIST, or similar frameworks
  • Remediate pipeline security findings and maintain compliant build tooling
  • Instrument build and release systems with metrics, logging, and alerting
  • Maintain operational runbooks and participate in incident response for delivery-related issues
  • Analyze pipeline and deployment data to identify bottlenecks and improve delivery performance
  • Monitor and optimize build infrastructure and automation platform cost and utilization
  • Collaborate with development, QA, security, and operations teams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in build engineering, release engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or cloud engineering
  • Deep practical expertise with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or comparable platforms
  • Strong experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation technologies such as Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Ansible, PowerShell, or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure; AWS or Google Cloud experience is valuable
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting and automation languages
  • Experience with build systems, dependency management, artifact repositories, and versioning strategies in large-scale SaaS environments
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex build, deployment, and environment issues independently
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills for distributed development, QA, security, and operations teams
  • Experience in regulated environments such as healthcare, HIPAA, SOC 2, NIST, or similar compliance-driven industries preferred
  • Experience with internal developer platforms or self-service engineering capabilities preferred
  • Familiarity with feature management and progressive delivery tools such as LaunchDarkly preferred
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Dynatrace, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools preferred
  • Experience integrating security controls, compliance validation, and software supply chain protection into CI/CD pipelines preferred
  • Background using AI-assisted development, code review, pipeline optimization, or automation tools preferred
