About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide quality education and maintain high standards of academic excellence in teaching assigned courses in the discipline
Teach assigned courses in person and asynchronously online
Maintain office hours as assigned
Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated
Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience
Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner
Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required
Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum using technology and videos
Arrive on-campus at least half an hour prior to the start time of in-person sessions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Doctorate in Accounting or an Accounting-related discipline required
Doctorate in Business-related discipline with a Masters in Accounting or an Accounting-related discipline required
Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) software
Strong computer skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective time management skills
Professional certification in discipline specialty (preferred but not required)
Must be able to travel weekly to required location(s)
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
Regular dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job
