People Operations Coordinator
StravaPeople Operations Coordinator ensuring a welcoming experience for new joiners in Berlin office. Supporting onboarding and maintaining a great work environment for Strava's European team.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the Berlin office day to day: facilities, supplies, health and safety, guest access, room bookings, snacks and the things that make the office a great place to work
- Be the welcoming face for new joiners on their first day: office tours, onboarding and benefit sessions.
- Coordinate on-site interviews and candidate hosting, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for every visitor
- Support onboarding administration for new hires across Germany, Ireland and France
- Process and track vendor invoices - collecting, scanning, merging and sending to Finance on schedule
- Support monthly payroll inputs under the guidance of the People Ops team; entering new joiner data, tracking changes and maintaining accuracy
- Run compliance reporting on a regular cycle: probation tracking, absence records, annual leave balances
- Assist with visa support letters and immigration logistics in coordination with the relevant partners
- Support the global Workplace team with Berlin-based event coordination and local logistics as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in an office coordination, People Ops, or administrative role - ideally in a fast-moving tech or scale-up environment
- Working knowledge of German employment legislation, and knowledge of French or Irish employment legislation is a plus.
- Fluency in German and English - both are essential for this role
- Experience using an HRIS; Workday familiarity is a plus.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and a track record of managing multiple priorities accurately and simultaneously.
- A natural communicator and listener - someone who builds trust quickly and brings a balanced, thoughtful approach to every interaction.
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment, while staying closely connected to a distributed team.
- Deeply curious, values-driven, and motivated to help people - and the world - be more active.
- You're energised by variety. You're just as comfortable setting up a new joiner's desk as you are tracking payroll data in a system, and you take pride in doing both well.
- Based in Berlin and able to be on-site three days per week
