About the role

  • Own iOS on Strava for Business — set the technical direction and ship features that reach millions of athletes
  • Build and improve the Challenges product alongside the top brands in the world, including new capabilities nobody's tried
  • Work closely with product and design to ship polished features in small, deliberate increments
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews and pair programming, and set the bar for iOS quality on across the company
  • Use AI tools to find faster, smarter ways to build and ship software

Requirements

  • 7+ years of iOS engineering experience, with deep fluency in SwiftUI and UIKit — and enough Objective-C to get by
  • Strong mobile architecture instincts — you think about scalability before it becomes a problem
  • Experience building sophisticated iOS components: custom animations, gesture systems, and interaction patterns that feel native and polished
  • The ability to translate complex product requirements into clear technical plans
  • Good product instincts and design sense — you know when something isn't quite right and can articulate why
  • A track record of using data to make decisions and bring others along
  • A kaizen mindset — you give and receive direct feedback, and leave every codebase and team better than you found them
