Business Analyst
Strategize it Inc.Business Analyst leading requirements gathering, process analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams for large clients in IT Services.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business objectives and document detailed business requirements.
- Analyze and document current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Develop comprehensive business cases outlining costs, benefits, and risks of proposed solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including IT, operations, and management) to ensure alignment of business and technology solutions.
- Create functional specifications and user stories, ensuring they are clear, complete, and feasible for implementation.
- Conduct impact analysis for proposed changes and enhancements to existing systems and processes.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior business analysts and team members as needed.
- Participate in testing and quality assurance efforts, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
- Assist in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end users as necessary.
- Defines and documents business processes involving current and future states.
- Acts as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical team, consultants and other governmental organizations in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of solutions.
- Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through the use of technology and/or through business process changes;
- Reads and interprets technical literature and translates in terms understandable to the end-users or non-technical staff.
- Plans, organizes and conducts business process re-engineering/improvement projects and/or management reviews of programs.
- Consolidates information into cohesive and understandable correspondence or other written form for use in management decision-making.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Commerce or an equivalent field
- Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as a business analyst
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience documenting/conducting process analysis and re-engineering
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing requirements, use cases and user stories
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in working on projects in agile environment
- Must possess strong political acumen
- Must possess strong critical thinking skills
- Most possess high level of communications, consulting, and client relationship skills.
- Must be capable of effectively identifying and framing problems, leading the collection of elements of information, and integrating this information to produce timely and thoughtful decisions.
