About the role
- Engage a Project Manager under the general direction of the program manager
- Responsible for the success of both divisional and corporate projects
- Work collaboratively with business owners, product managers, and other business leaders
- Provide guidance to and direct all project activity
- Lead medium to complex size project teams and direct/indirect project staff, including consultants
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with management and staff across divisions
- Plan and manage projects to ensure successful delivery of objectives
- Organize and lead the project team in the development and execution of the implementation plan
- Manage the full project life cycle from initiation to closeout, ensuring all requisite key controls are in place
- Understand business objectives and develop project plans, including estimating required resources and timelines
- Identify and manage risks and issues that emerge throughout the project lifecycle
- Manage, coordinate, and schedule project resources and activities
- Provides direction to operational management and project team
- Develop and manage the project schedule, milestones, deliverables, and action items
- Oversee release of key deliverables for acceptor and approver
- Manage project budget and provide regular monthly forecast updates
- Identify and engage project stakeholders
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Computer Science or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile (SAFe) certification or designation is an asset
- Supplementary courses in project management, i.e. risk management, program management, and agile project management are an asset
- 7 years of related experience, including 3 years managing medium projects and special initiatives
- Experience in requirements gathering and requirements documentation
- Experience in business case development and delivery
