About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee all accounting-related business activities in accordance with commercial and tax regulations, maintaining close coordination with executive management, tax advisors and auditors
- Serve as the central contact for all internal and external tax matters at national and international levels
- Prepare, monitor and analyze financial plans, budgets and forecasts and derive sound recommendations for action
- Actively contribute to the development of company objectives and strategic direction
- Take responsibility for the preparation of annual financial statements and electronic tax filings (E-Bilanz) for the entire corporate group
- Handle day-to-day operational activities and prepare, analyze and comment on group reporting
- Coordinate financial and business matters related to subsidiaries and manage intercompany settlements
- Provide functional, disciplinary and organizational leadership and continuously develop the Accounting and Controlling teams
- Independently take on and execute special business/financial projects within the department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in accounting and controlling, including personnel management
- Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with commercial and tax law; ideally also experience with international financial statements (EU and Switzerland)
- Degree or equivalent qualification (e.g., certified accountant/Bilanzbuchhalter, controller with strong knowledge of financial statements)
- Good written and spoken English skills
- Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical skills and a high level of understanding of complex relationships
- Confident demeanor, facilitation/moderation skills and a proactive, precise and structured working style
