About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administration, development and optimization of the data warehouse (DWH), in particular ETL processes using PL/SQL or other tools/languages, as well as the design and maintenance of dimensions, facts and hierarchies
Development of views and aggregations
Normalization and denormalization of data models
Coordination and documentation with business units regarding DWH development
Validation of data quality and consistency, as well as data cleansing
Creation of test cases and execution of tests in the DWH context
Execution of ad-hoc database queries (source systems and DWH) and provision of data for BI tools
Special tasks related to data assigned by the IT Data Management department

Requirements

What you’ll need

A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, mathematics, natural sciences, economics or an engineering discipline with a focus on data processing is desirable, or equivalent skills and experience
Ideally, demonstrable experience in data modeling and database design
Excellent knowledge of SQL and experience implementing complex ETL processes (knowledge of PL/SQL is an advantage)
Proven experience with common BI tools (e.g., Power BI)
Strong analytical thinking and a systematic, solution-oriented working style
High degree of independence, diligence and quality awareness
Very good communication skills and fluent written and spoken German
