About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and control all accounting-related business activities in accordance with commercial and tax regulations, working closely with executive management, tax advisors and auditors
- Serve as the central point of contact for all internal and external tax matters at national and international levels
- Prepare, monitor and analyze financial plans, budgets and forecasts and derive well-founded recommendations for action
- Actively contribute to the development of corporate objectives and the company’s strategic direction
- Responsible for the preparation of annual financial statements and electronic tax filings (E-Bilanz) for the entire corporate group
- Execute day-to-day operational tasks as well as prepare, analyze and comment on group reporting
- Coordinate business management matters related to holdings and handle intercompany settlements
- Provide technical, disciplinary and organizational leadership and continuously develop the Accounting and Controlling teams
- Independently lead and carry out special finance/business projects within the department
Requirements
What you’ll need- Several years of professional experience in accounting and controlling, including personnel management
- Experience with annual financial statements under commercial and tax law, preferably also with international statements (EU and Switzerland)
- University degree or comparable qualification (e.g., certified balance sheet accountant/Bilanzbuchhalter, controller with strong knowledge of financial statements)
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel, and experience with ERP systems
- Strong analytical ability and a high level of understanding of complex interrelationships
- Confident presence, moderation/facilitation skills and enjoyment of independent, precise and structured work
