About the role
- Administration, development and optimization of the DWH, in particular ETL processes using PL/SQL or other tools/languages, as well as the design and maintenance of dimensions, fact tables and hierarchies
- Development of views and aggregations
- Normalization and denormalization of data models
- Coordination and documentation with business departments regarding DWH development
- Validation of data quality and consistency and data cleansing
- Creation of test cases and execution of tests in the DWH context
- Execution of ad-hoc database queries (source systems and DWH) and provision of data for BI tools
- Special tasks related to data from the IT Data Management department
Requirements
- A degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics, a natural science, economics, or an engineering field with a focus on data processing is desirable, or equivalent skills and experience
- Ideally, demonstrable experience in data modeling and database design
- Very good knowledge of SQL and implementation of complex ETL processes (PL/SQL knowledge is an advantage)
- Demonstrable experience with common BI tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong analytical thinking and a systematic, solution-oriented work style
- High degree of independence, attention to detail and quality awareness
- Very good communication skills and a confident command of German, both written and spoken
