EKG Technician, SME, Contract Position
StraighterLineHealthcare professional serving as Subject Matter Expert for EKG Technician course. Reviewing course content, ensuring clinical accuracy, and supporting students post-launch.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review course content for clinical accuracy, completeness, and NHA CET exam alignment
- Provide expert feedback on errors, gaps, outdated information, and improvement opportunities
- Validate exam preparation content against the NHA Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam domains
- Collaborate with our academic team and content vendor to resolve questions and clarify standards
- Approve final content before course launch
- Following launch, hold 1 hour per week of virtual office hours to support enrolled students
- Participate in course and/or marketing features (photo, bio, recorded segments, or testimonials) as mutually agreed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Active NHA CET (Certified EKG Technician) certification
- 3–4 years of EKG/ECG technician experience in a clinical setting
- At least 2 years of active EKG acquisition and rhythm interpretation experience within the past 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Cardiovascular Technology, Health Sciences, or related field (preferred)
- 5+ years of experience across multiple clinical settings (hospital, cardiology clinic, ambulatory care, etc.) (preferred)
- Experience with 12-lead interpretation, Holter monitoring, or stress testing (preferred)
- Teaching, precepting, or curriculum development experience (preferred)
