About the role

  • Build out, maintain, and troubleshoot rapidly expanding infrastructure for clients
  • Analyze problems from a systems perspective, isolate hardware or software issues and carry through to resolution
  • Provide IT support for Microsoft core business applications, Azure, Office 365, Citrix and VMware environments
  • Support Windows Server, Azure, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint and related Microsoft technologies
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions
  • Provide network-level technical services: WAN/LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
  • Implement and support remote access solutions: VPN, Remote Desktop/Terminal Services, and Citrix
  • Create and maintain system documentation, reviews and recommendations
  • Travel to customer sites to perform work when appropriate (company vehicle provided)
  • Maintain familiarity with industry best practices and communicate effectively with customers and the Service Team
  • Participate in team and company meetings
  • Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • Proactively ensure high levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Monitor and test application performance for bottlenecks and work with developers to implement fixes
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or a combination of 5+ years of experience and recent equivalent training (college graduate, technical school graduate or similar)
  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of PC operations and functions
  • Experience with monitoring systems and automation software
  • Experience with Sophos or Meraki Firewall
  • Experience with O365 and M365
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop or Terminal Services (RDS)
  • Experience with Small Business Networks
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022
  • Preferred: Microsoft AZURE, MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, Meraki Network Stack, Cisco CCNA, Citrix CCA, Network+, A+
  • Ability to travel to customer sites (company vehicle provided)
  • Physical requirements: medium work up to 50 pounds; stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motion; close visual acuity
