About the role

  • Manage relationships with travel vendors (like airlines, hotels, and rental car companies) to ensure they meet the needs of the program and its travelers.
  • This role involves negotiating rates, contracts, and ensuring the delivery of services that align with the program's goals, like cost-effectiveness and traveler satisfaction.
  • Manage Meetings & Events process.
  • Work with Strada business leaders to understand requirements and business outcomes to effectively negotiate deals that meet those needs.
  • Lead governance process for tier A and B suppliers.
  • Complete assigned special projects, meeting schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively manage projects with a pipeline of sourcing activities and deliver on associated timelines.
  • Adopt and utilize Global Supplier Management tools and reporting mechanisms.
  • Provide necessary visibility to Global Supplier Management leaders; escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proactively maintain and build expertise by staying informed of industry trends and technology shifts.
  • Function as the contractual point of contact between the company and suppliers, including executive and account leadership where required; manage the overall supplier relationship, including the goals and objectives of the business.
  • Lead supplier governance routines, as defined by Global Supplier Management policies and supplier tiering.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate and maintained within the assigned data tools.
  • Pro-actively prepare to renew / re-source agreements with expiring term dates.
  • Construct financial and qualitative models to provide fact-based assessments of suppliers’ abilities to meet / exceed Strada’s needs at competitive price points.
  • Lead Internal teams through the strategic sourcing process transactions.
  • Lead in sourcing selection, following Strada’s processes and controls.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, in partnership with Legal, Finance and Business partners.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in business, finance, supply chain management or appliable field.
  • Advanced level knowledge of Travel operational processes.
  • Advanced level knowledge managing client and/or third-party supplier contracts, with a detailed understanding of Terms and Conditions of the Services Agreement, Statements of Work and Fee Schedules
  • Deep expertise in overseeing Governance routines and processes: change orders, Service Level Agreements, performance dashboards, escalation management, root cause analysis, risk mitigation, audit compliance (SOC I and SOC II), business continuity, data privacy, and related Governance routines.
  • Strong financial acumen, including but not limited to P&L Management, budgets and forecasting, invoice validation, cost savings, ROI/cost modeling, and operational fee structures (i.e.: PEPM/PEPY, volume-based pricing, variable charges, RUs, minimum guarantees, and ARC/RRC)
  • In-depth understanding of HIPAA, PHI, PII, GDPR and data privacy
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to manage by influence and build trusted partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong cross-cultural skills and experience collaborating with global teams.
  • Solutions oriented, with a proven history of using facts, data, and cost modelling techniques to build business cases and influence decisions.
  • Excellent organizational skills & interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a global team.
  • Business analytics - Data driven with the ability to apply and use data analytics to gain deeper real-time insights into agent performance and trends.
  • Results driven and proactive with ability to own and execute area of responsibility with excellence.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional shifts where required.
  • 5+ years Travel Industry knowledge & experience.
  • Experience in negotiation techniques; proven ability to deliver favorable agreements which meet business requirements.
  • Experience in meeting and events coordination in a corporate environment.
