About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and manage long-term customer relationships

  • Represent the dealership’s full line of compact equipment and services

  • Trailering, operating, and demonstrating equipment
  • Provide robust customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction
  • Maintain organization and conduct effective follow-up
  • Present financing options to customers
  • Improve knowledge of dealership equipment and monitor industry trends
  • Collaborate with management to forecast annual sales and achieve revenue growth goals

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High integrity, loyal team player with excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented
  • Ability to process paperwork timely and accurately
  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work extended hours, including Saturdays
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel occasionally for training and company meetings
  • Strong computer skills preferred
  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Comfort with mechanical issues preferred
  • 5+ years of sales experience preferred
  • Understanding of John Deere or equivalent equipment, vehicles, and implements preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent life education
  • Ability to sit, stand, talk, and hear
  • Ability to use hands for computer and phone use
  • Close vision for reading
  • Effective in-person and telephone communication
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, or reach as needed
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal history, and drug screening before employment
  • For certain positions, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
