About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance on customer and dealer-owned equipment independently
- Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic systems using diagnostic tools
- Assemble and perform maintenance on various types of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and parts used
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repair status and recommendations
- Collaborate with Service Manager when guidance or escalation is needed
- Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Support team efforts by sharing knowledge and assisting colleagues as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel and small gas engines
- Must own and maintain a full set of tools
- Intermediate computer skills, including use of diagnostic software and repair documentation
- Clean driving record and ability to comply with DOT regulations as applicable
- Ability to diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
- Flexible with work schedule including shift variations and after-hours call response
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, with a customer-focused attitude
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
