Parts/Service Coordinator

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for service technicians requiring parts and accessories for John Deere and other equipment
- Coordinate and source parts efficiently to support timely service repairs and minimize equipment downtime
- Assist technicians both in person and over the phone with parts identification, availability, and ordering
- Maintain clear communication between the parts and service departments to ensure alignment on priorities and workflow
- Monitor parts availability and proactively address shortages or delays that could impact service operations
- Process parts orders, returns, and transfers accurately within the system
- Support inventory organization, accuracy, and cycle count processes as needed
- Ensure proper documentation of parts usage on work orders to support billing accuracy and reporting
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe parts and service environment
- Deliver a high level of internal customer service, fostering strong working relationships with technicians and team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in agriculture, construction, or heavy equipment industries preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn equipment parts and components
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset and professional phone etiquette
- Organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and data entry skills, including ability to research information online
- Dependable, proactive, and a strong team player with high integrity
- Previous parts or service experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or related industries preferred
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including participation in a Saturday rotation
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required
- Preferred Forklift certification
- Familiarity with John Deere equipment, or other agricultural, turf, or construction machinery
- Prior experience in parts sales, service, or inventory management
