About the role
- Collaborate with cross-functional team on strategy and roadmaps
- Define and champion technical principles for data platform
- Be accountable for team codebase health and drive continuous improvements
- Lead technical design for complex projects and ensure successful implementation
- Coach and mentor data and analytics engineers
- Influence decisions across data and ML engineering teams
- Rebuild platform supporting decentralized data model
- Accelerate data adoption across the business
- Drive continuous improvement on business value, cost efficiency, and speed
- Deliver high-quality software and foster feedback culture
- Provide trustable and usable data meeting business needs
Requirements
- Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data platforms
- Proven ability to lead technical design and architecture discussions
- Deep understanding of data engineering principles and best practices
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with cloud-based data services, Git and CI/CD
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to influence change beyond immediate team
- Experience with Data Lakehouse or Data Mesh (preferred)
- Familiarity with data security principles (preferred)
- Experience in the e-commerce domain (preferred)
- Legal right to work in the position's country without requiring sponsorship
