About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and develop a team of warehouse associates and operations leads to deliver on daily goals
- Work closely with HR, Safety, Customer Service, and other operations leaders to drive results
- Address operational and personnel issues affecting the functional area
- Implement process improvements and workload efficiency mechanisms
- Use workload planning tools and other resources to complete scheduled workload and fulfill orders to standards
- Investigate discrepancies and variances
- Perform to quality standards in multiple functions
- Support execution of processes and procedures related to inventory accuracy
- Perform warehouse bin accuracy activities and maintain inventory shrink
- Utilize the Order Management System and material handling equipment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of two to four years’ experience working with warehouse management systems (WMS) / inventory systems in a high-volume facility
- Previous leadership experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience
- Basic clerical and data entry skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and support teams
- Ability to transport up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others
- Ability to work constructively under stress and pressure with high workloads and deadlines
- Ability to use relevant material handling equipment, including forklifts
- Ability to work in a distribution center environment with varying heights, temperatures, and moderate, consistent noise levels
- Flexibility to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and occasional non-standard work hours as business requires
- Proficiency with Google Suite is a bonus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field is a bonus
- Experience with process improvements such as Lean Six Sigma and/or Kaizen is a bonus
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
