About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct proactive sales activities to win new customers through market mapping, identifying customer needs, preparing offers and participating in tenders
- Build business relations with online stores, fulfilment service providers, brand owners with omnichannel sales networks and packaging distributors
- Build value propositions based on customer needs in conjunction with production, R&D, supply chain and sustainability departments
- Negotiate contracts, prices and other commercial terms
- Maintain customer relations, respond to inquiries, solve problems and propose solutions based on customer needs and business objectives
- Analyse system-reported sales, profitability and warehouse-stock parameters and make informed decisions and take actions
- Monitor receivables and communicate with customers to secure on-time payments
- Create sales development plans for the region
- Report directly to the Head of E-commerce
- Travel to the DACH area for a few days per month
Requirements
What you’ll need- at least 3 years of experience in export sales at a production company, supported by your individual successes
- at least 5 years of experience in sales
- experience in export sales and working in an international environment
- experience in the packaging sector would be an additional advantage
- experience in winning customers in export markets
- university degree
- good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- native speaking German
- English at least at the B2 level
- driving licence, category B
- willingness to work outside the office for up to 30% of the working time
- strong hunting skills and proven success expanding business in export markets
- strong analytical, negotiation, communication, relationship-building and time-management skills
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
